In Madrid Center there is an oasis and its name is Areia. Located at the popular Hortaleza street this is a unique space: a chillout, cocktail & gastro bar, that turns into a nightclub, and during summer is transformed into a beach club!!
Once I put my feet into Areia I knew I would love it. Decorated in an oriental style, with huge cushions and amazing music. It was like I suddenly travelled to a "haima" in Morocco. But this sensation became even more real when I tried their "desert cuisine": skewers, tabbouleh, falafel, gastro-kebabs and an amazing pita burger...
Besides, the cocktail menu is one of the largest I've seen in Madrid, they even have aphrodisiac ones. Every night there are different DJs playing pretty varied styles. I could never get bored of the Areia Sessions.
Also, for an extra special experience you can call and reserve one of the cushion beds. Every time I go, I always get envious of seeing the people that are lying down.
